In the weeks since Prince's death, we've seen some of country music's biggest names pay tribute. While Jake Owen and Little Big Town have done some great versions of Prince songs, there's been a little big of Red Dirt missing from the mix.

Well, miss it no more. Adam Hood has been paying his tribute to Prince before it was trendy. Check out this video from back in 2013 where Adam covers 'Purple Rain' during a show at Cheatham Street Warehouse in San Marcos, TX.

Before the song he talks a little bit about why the song has such meaning to him and how he had the soundtrack when he was just a kid. It's definitely a different twist on the song, hearing Adams strong southern accent sing the words.
