Clay County Sheriff's officials have told News Talk 1290 that they have not identified the body. As was originally reported, a visual ID was not possible due to the condition of the remains.

A sheriff official tells us that information provided to another media outlet about the body being that of missing 18-year-old Brice Coates is coming from the family of a missing Clay County teenager and not officially through their office.
