MSU’s Moffett Library is hosting a free event in honor of the traveling exhibit, "Native Voices: Native Peoples’ Concepts of Health and Illness." The reception will begin at 3pm on Sunday, June 4, 2017, in the Leisure Reading Area of Moffett Library, with opening remarks by MSU’s Provost Dr. James Johnston. Gary Tahmahkera, Associate Pastor of Floral Heights Methodist Church, will provide an opening prayer. Jim Moore from the Red River Intertribal Club will lead drum songs along with an ensemble of dancers and singers. Mr. Moore will also offer remarks on Native American health issues and coping strategies.
