Lonestar 102.3 was happy to be a part of the very first Wheels Under Cover Car Show last Saturday at the MPEC.

Rather than host our usual outdoor show, we decided to move it inside. And we're glad we did. While it was chilly, rainy and gloomy outside, it was bright and shiny (Thanks to a lot of hand polished horsepower!) inside.

Spectators found everything from monster trucks to T-Buckets to sixty year old vehicles lovingly restored to their original designs. The owners and builders were happy to share the stories of how they found their dream car, built it up from a pile of rusty nuts and bolts, or what they plan to do to it next. It seems cars like these are never completely finished, there's always another bit of chrome or a new component that just needs to be added to the project.

Wheels Under Cover 2012 was a great time for everyone involved. Thanks to everyone who brought their cars out, and thanks to all of the spectators who came out on such a chilly, gloomy day to see them. We're already looking forward to next year's show!
