We've seen those little GoPro cameras in all sorts of places. On riders in the Hotter N Hell Hundred, on the wings of stunt planes at air shows, on skydivers helmets ... But what happens when they fall off?

Apparently, they just keep recording video.

 

 

The skydiver says he bumped the camera against the aircraft as he was beginning his jump and it fell off a few seconds later, about 33 seconds into the video.

That was at 12,500 feet. By my calculations that's about 2.37 MILES above sea level!

As amazing as the fall and landing were, one of the ground crew then found it in the landing zone and returned it to the shocked skydiver.

The images go by really fast in video mode, but if you stop it randomly you get some interesting perspectives and amazing stills on the way down.
