On Saturday night, (11/28) Granger Smith made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. When it was announced earlier this month, Granger had said how excited he was about the performance. “I grew up listening to Opry performances on the radio as a kid. It’s an iconic stage with a rich history and represents everything I love about country music. I can’t wait to walk amongst the greats and experience it first-hand for myself with family and friends around."

At his second show on the historic stage on Saturday, Granger told a similar story. He talked how 17 years ago this week, he had visited the Ryman as a tourist. Five years after that he was playing multiple shows a week just down the street at Tootsies while living in Nashville. Twelve years after that he finally got to take his turn on the stage.
