Today, August 12th, is a very special day. Today, in 1963, Anthony Ray, better known by his stage name Sir Mix-a-Lot, was born.  If it wasn't for that faithful day 50 years ago, we never woud have been blessed with the great artistic masterpiece that is "Baby Got Back"

Now, this is a country radio station, so I bet you are saying, "Drew, Why should we care about this?"  Well, for one thing, it's a man's birthday, be nice, and #2, you obviously don't realize the great influence that Sir Mix-a-lot has had on country music.

This isn't the first time Rich has made it known that he, much like Sir Mix-a-lot, likes big butts. You might even say he cannot lie about it.

But wait, There's more.  Here's Luke Bryan covering Baby Got Back at a concert. You can see how much the epic lines "uh, double up, uh uh" has had an effect on Luke

But Luke's not the only country star to add this song to their set list.  Joe Nichols not only covered it, he really made it a country song!

So today, take a couple minutes to think about and honor the birthday of Sir Mix-a-lot and remember, his "anaconda don't want none unless you've got buns, hun"
