Hospice Radio Day Exceeds Expectations on Friday
The annual Hospice of Wichita Falls radio day was this past Friday and to say it was a success would be an understatement.
Since around Thanksgiving, the Hospice of Wichita Falls has been raising money for donations for the lights on top of the Chase building on Kemp Boulevard. The last day of donations is always Radio Day on 102.3 Blake FM. Hospice of Wichita Falls was $26,000 away from their $200,000 goal.
Radio Day kicked off at seven here in our lobby at the radio station. The amazing ladies were taking your calls and donations all day long until five in the afternoon. Each hour we had a goal of lights to hit. I believe with the exception of one hour, we hit our goals. Some hours we far exceeded those goals. By five, we hit our goal and then some.
Thanks to your donations, Hospice of Wichita Falls raised $34,000 on Radio Day alone. Over eight thousand dollars more than our goal. From all of us here at Blake and all the Townsquare Media stations. Thank you for supporting Hospice of Wichita Falls and the annual radio day. Go check out the star all lit up on Kemp thanks to your donations.
