  • Alabama claimed the 23rd American Music Awards win of their career at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium in 2003.
  • Garth BrooksRopin’ The Wind album was certified for shipments of 10 million copies in 1994, making him the first country artist to reach that plateau with two different releases.

  • The Osborne Brothers recorded the first hit version of “Rocky Top” in 1967.

  • Johnny Cash made his chart debut, with “Cry, Cry, Cry” in 1955.
