Wichita Falls Kids’ Fishing Rodeo is This Saturday

It's time for some family fun and excitement with another Kids' Fishing Rodeo in Wichita Falls!

This year the Kids' Fishing Rodeo will be held at Plum Lake, located next to the Wichita Falls Softball Complex at 1702 Sheppard Access Road, on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 10:00 am to noon. The event is for kids 16 and under only.

There will be prizes awarded in three age divisions: 2-7, 8-11, and 12-16. the prizes will be awarded to those who catch the largest and smallest trout and largest and smallest fish other than trout. Judging will be based on length not weight.

Participants should bring their own fishing poles and bait. There will be a limited number of poles to borrow from Parks and Wildlife on a first come, first served basis.

It's going to be a beautiful weekend here in Wichita Falls with temperatures in the mid 70s, so grab your fishing gear and bring the entire family out for a fun-filled exciting day of angling in The Falls!
