  • Alabama, Glen Campbell and DeFord Bailey were announced by the Country Music Association as the latest inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005.
  • Alan Jackson collected 10 nominations for the 36th annual Country Music Association Awards in 2002, breaking a 32-year-old record held by Merle Haggard.
  • Billy Ray Cyrus performed the national anthem at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois in 1996, as Bill Clinton was nominated for re-election.
  • K.T. Oslin underwent quadruple-bypass heart surgery at Nashville’s St. Thomas Hospital in 1995.
  • Faith Hill‘s album It Matters To Me was released in 1995.
  • “(There’s) No Gettin’ Over Me” took Ronnie Milsap to Number One on the Billboard country chart in 1981.
