With so many news stories about violence and crime, it's refreshing to find an article like this. Darco Sangermano of Italy was hit in the head by a stray bullet on New Year's Eve. While an injury like that can easily cause permanent damage or death, he is doing well after sneezing out the bullet.

[At the hospital] and amazingly still conscious, labourer Darco sneezed out the .22 calibre bullet and told doctors that, apart from a strong headache, he felt no other pain.

The bullet entered the right side of his head, went through the muscle, broke the temporal bone, passed behind his eye through the socket, hit a bone in his nose and then lodged in his nostril before being sneezed out.

Unfortunately Mr. Sangermano wasn't the only person hit by a stray bullet that night - two other individuals were struck, leaving one of them dead.

Darco's doctor has released him from the hospital and has recommended surgery to check the wound.
