On the heels of her big wins at the 2017 ACM Awards, Maren Morris has debuted the music video for her newest single, “I Could Use a Love Song.” Readers can press play above to watch.

The "I Could Use a Love Song" video features actors Shelley Hennig -- known for her roles on MTV’s Teen Wolf and the soap opera Days of Our Lives -- and Garrett Hines of NCIS and The Big Short. In the clip, Hennig plays an aspiring dancer who’s itching to move to Los Angeles and make it big, and Hines portrays the skeptical partner who’s holding her back. Perhaps not surprisingly, their romance doesn't end well when Hennig's character decides to move away to pursue her dreams.

The story in the "I Could Use a Love Song" music video is, for Morris, apparently quite personal: In a statement posted to her Facebook page, the singer says that the making of the “I Could Use a Love Song” video was “tough.”

“It’s extremely personal to my story to getting to where I am today,” Morris says in the post. “It’s been a process, but thankfully, our amazing cast brought this chapter to life in such a raw way.”

Morris has announced that she will soon begin writing her sophomore album, which she says will seek to find the "core-cutting truth." This fall, she'll head back out on tour in support of her debut album, Hero, with the continuation of her headlining Hero Tour.
