Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban partnered for a very special performance at the 2016 ACM Awards on Sunday night (April 3). The country superstars teamed with ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons for an incendiary performance of the ZZ classic "Tush."

Dressed in a sexy, form-fitting black body suit, Lambert gave a spitfire, animated performance, belting out the lyrics in her usual wildfire fashion. Gibbons and Urban traded hot electric guitar licks, with Lambert shaking along to the beat as they collectively tore up the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Vegas in one of the heaviest performances of the night, drawing an enthusiastic standing ovation from the crowd.

The once-in-a-lifetime performance marks a major return to the spotlight for Lambert, who has been keeping a lower-than-usual public profile for the most part since announcing her split from Blake Shelton in mid-2015. Though she has said she is working on new music, mostly she appears to have been hanging out with her new flame, Anderson East, and not taking much part in the kind of frantic media attention that accompanied her every move during her marriage to her fellow superstar. Lambert was nominated for Female Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year in the 2016 ACM Awards, and took home Female Vocalist just a few minutes earlier.

Urban has just released a new single, "Wasted Time," from his upcoming album, Ripcord. He is slated to perform solo on the ACM broadcast in addition to his spot with Lambert and Gibbons. He is also nominated for Song and Vocal Event of the Year for "Raise 'Em Up," his collaboration with Eric Church.
