Phoenix Stone has come a long way since the early 2000s. Now that the singer -- an early member of the famed Backstreet Boys -- has moved his central focus to country music, he's singing about hanging out in the woods and drinking '100 Proof Moonshine.'

Stone recently released the first single from his upcoming album 'We Got a Lot to Drink About' and, naturally, it's a song and video about drinking booze and letting loose -- a perfect fit for a country lifestyle. The video opens up with Stone driving across the country in a convertible, when he happens upon a pretty blonde hitchhiker. Not one to turn down a good-looking lady, Stone pulls over to give her a ride.

This hitchhiker is obviously the kind of girl who likes to have a good time. She stands up in the car to let the wind blow through her hair as they drive down the highway, and in most of the shots, she's either making out with Stone or dancing her heart out.

Eventually, the country singer and his new road trip partner crack open some moonshine and have a really good time. The more they drink, the more fun they have. By the end of the clip, Stone is playing music for a crowd of people, and everyone there is having a good time, too.

No one should be too surprised at how easily Stone has embraced a country lifestyle -- it's how he was raised.

"Growing up in my house both my parents only listened to country music so I'm kind of a human jukebox when it comes to some of the classic country songs from greats like Willie, Waylon and Hank, Jr.," Stone tells Taste of Country. "But growing up in the '90s it was artists like Garth Brooks and Travis Tritt that really inspired me, not only with their music but also their rockin' live shows."

Stone has always loved the genre, and began writing and singing country music of his own as a teen, which is when he was signed to Warner/Chappell Nashville. He is one of the co-founding members of the Backstreet Boys, who saw the height of their fame in the late '90s.

The singer has just completed his debut country music album and is touring nationwide now. '100 Proof Moonshine' is currently at No. 50 on the Billboard Country charts and climbing.
