The Southwest Regional Quidditch Championship is among three events announced on Tuesday to take place in Wichita Falls over the next year.

The Wichita Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau announced three events coming to Wichita Falls over the next year: the U.S. Quidditch Southwest Regional Championship, The North Texas Nonprofit and Business Summit, and the Ink Masters Tattoo Expo.

First, the North Texas Nonprofit and Business Summit will take place on October 6th, 2017 at Midwestern State University. According to the press release,

The Summit is a signature event that brings together non-profit and for-profit business professionals and community leaders for networking and educational workshops with a keynote speaker.

President and CEO of Hoblitzelle Foundation Paul Harris will serve as the keynote speaker, with Texas First Lady Cecilia Abbott on-hand to make the opening remarks. Tickets can be purchased through The Nonprofit Center of Texoma.

Next, teams from Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas will come to Wichita Falls for the Southwest Regional Championship of U.S. Quidditch on Feb. 24 and 25, 2018, just two months before the 11th US Quidditch Cup finals in Round Rock, TX. Wichita Falls was a contender to host the Quidditch Cup before Round Rock was selected in July.

Finally, the Ink Masters Tattoo Expo will take place at the MPEC June 22nd-24th. Tattoo artists will be on-hand doing tattoos all weekend, and two free tattoos will be given out each day of the event. Children under 12 will get in free and there will be a Kids Zone area with face painting.
