Every city has its rough edges, but generally speaking, Wichita Falls is a decent place to live. The cost of living is relatively low, we don't have to fight heavy traffic like they do in bigger cities, and the people are among the friendliest you will ever meet.

While we believe the pros of living in Wichita Falls outweigh the cons, an argument can be made that one of the aforementioned rough edges of our city is the high rate of violent and property crimes. The crime rate in Wichita Falls (45 per 1,000 residents) is quite a bit higher than the national average (30 per 1,000 residents).
