Shania Twain Gets Married In Puerto Rico

A couple of weeks after publicly announcing their engagement, Shania Twain and Frederic Thiebaud were married in Puerto Rico on New Years Day.

It was a small ceremony with only forty friends and family attending.  It took place in Rincon, on the western coast of the island at sunset, according to CMT.

The wedding was first announced to PEOPLE on Jan. 1, 2011.

This marriage comes after Shania's emotional divorce with record producer Robert "Mutt" Lange.  Twain and Lange were married for 14 years until his affair with her former best friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud.  Marie-Anne was previously married to Frederic.
