Skylar Laine Asks ‘Where Do Broken Hearts Go’ and ‘Brings Country to Whitney Houston’ on American Idol [VIDEO]
Before Skylar Laine took the American Idol stage Wednesday night (March 7), she said she would "bring country to Whitney Houston". She did just that by inserting a little country twang into her performance of 'Where Do Broken Hearts Go'.
Throughout the competition so far, Laine has proven that she can sing just about any country song, but this time she showed America that this country girl can sing anything, regardless of genre.
Jennifer Lopez says that Skylar is "the definition of composure" and that she handed over the biggest moment of the night so far. Steven Tyler said that her performance was a thing of beauty and that she climbed that ladder throughout the song perfectly. Randy Jackson was thrilled that Laine was able to show another side of her talent and prove that she can sing any song.
Skylar Laine is starting to remind us a little of Lauren Alaina - and as we recall, she did pretty good on season 10 of American Idol.
