Google has released a new video describing their Google Maps “Treasure Mode.” They describe how their search began in 2012 when their street team discovered maps belonging to the pirate William “Captain” Kidd. Now they need help deciphering the maps, and they’re asking for your help.

As you’ll see in the video, there are numerous ways to unlock symbols in the treasure maps. It might be using sunlight, pairing other devices together, or even using heat to unlock symbols on the map. What do you get when you put it all together? In addition to nothing, your laptop might be fried.

Will you join the quest?

(This is a limited offer; Treasure Mode will not be available on Google Maps after April 1)
