A man in Pennsylvania probably didn’t have a great week. He’s accused of breaking into a jewelry store and then attempting to cash in on a reward for helping to solve the case.

When the store was broken in to, only one case was smashed and approximately $10,000 worth of rings were stolen. After the robbery, a reward was posted for information leading to the case being solved.

As a result of the reward, Emile Pratt Jr. decided to call police to tip them off, which ultimately led to his arrest.

A day after Multari offered the unspecified reward, Pratt called and "said he would help in any way," Multari told the paper. He claimed to have heard the glass breaking.

The jewelry was sold to pawn shops, and police are investigating.

In my opinion, if you’re dumb enough to break into a jewelry store, chances are you’d be better off NOT calling police to try to “help” them. He’s definitely a favored moron for the week.
