I would have been every bit as freaked out as the guy who posted the video. He claims the sound was so loud, it made the windows vibrate as if it was the "hardest rain against my windows."

Taking a Cue From the Movies

More than a few people in the comments section mentioned the new Netflix movie Leave the World Behind, so I had to look up the trailer. Now I wish I hadn't.

From the Heavens?

The poster wondered if it was the seven trumpets of God, a reference to the Book of Revelation in the Bible. In the Book of Revelation, seven angels are given seven trumpets to sound, one at a time, to signal apocalyptic events.

No, of course not.

From Another Planet?

Could this have been the battle cry of a group of aliens launching an attack on our planet?

Come on, are you kidding me? No.

Probably From a Nearby Plant.

A couple of folks in the comments said they know that sound, it's a pressure release valve blowing off from a nearby business.
