It's not every day a Texas Music Legend like Jerry Jeff Walker comes through Wichita Falls, but he'll be here next Saturday, April 14th, as the feature performer in this year's Cattle Barron's Ball.

For those unfamiliar with this annual concert and party event, it's a fund raiser for the American Cancer Society and this year's goal is $300,000!

The event will be held at the J.S. Bridwell Ag Center and in addition to Jerry Jeff Walker as the feature performer, those in attendance will also be treated to music from his son, Django Walker, and Johnny Dee and the Doo Wops. The event also includes auction items, great food and drink, a plinko board, a cash cube, a mechanical bull for the brave (or foolish), even chicken poop bingo. It's a lot like cow pattie bingo, just on a much smaller scale.

Wrangler tickets are $100, Barron tickets (including the pre-party) are $15o.

We're all familiar with songs like Mr. Bojangles and Up Against The Wall You Redneck Mother, so here's a sample of what Jerry Jeff's been up to lately.

This year's Cattle Barron's Ball is dedicated to the memory of Mr. Frank Gibson who lost his battle with cancer last year and was a very special person in the Wichita Falls community.
