The Damn Quails Manager Found Safe in Colorado

The Damn Quails have found their missing road manager two states and nearly 1,000 miles away. Colin Deyalsingh went missing on March 19, just before the alt-country band was set to take the stage at the Firehouse Saloon in Houston.

The group took to social media on Monday after no one had heard from Deyalsingh in nearly 36 hours. He left behind his personal items and told no one where he was going. A search of local hospitals and jails turned up nothing. Late Tuesday night, the Damn Quails shared that he was found, unharmed, in Colorado Springs.

“He has spoken to members of the team and we have a person with him at this point,” a Facebook update reads. “We do not know any of the circumstances that led Colin to Colorado and we do not know anything further at this time. This is not our story to tell, and any further information about this will have to come from Colin and his family.”

The group also thanked fans, friends, media and local law enforcement for their support and assistance. “Thank you all again for lifting us up in our time of trouble,” they write. “We will never forget it. We are happy our friend has been found.”

The Damn Quails are bluegrass-tinged country band out of Norman Okla., founded by Bryon White and Gabe Marshall. They released the critically acclaimed Down the Hatch album in 2011. Legal issues with a record label and management company temporarily derailed the group after Down the Hatch was released, but after two years, lawsuits were settled.

In 2015 the band released the Out of the Birdcage album, funded from a $50,000 Kickstarter campaign. They’re active on the road in Oklahoma and Texas, with their next show scheduled for March 26 in Weatherford, Okla. It’s not clear if Deyalsingh will join them for that show.
