Throwback Thursday: Garth Brooks Performs ‘Friends In Low Places’ On The CMA Awards [VIDEO]

We're going way back to October 5th, 1990 this week. The 24th Annual CMA Awards were Garth Brooks' first year as a nominee. He was nominated for 5 awards (more than anyone else) and ended up winning the Horizon Award and Best Music Video for 'The Dance.' He also performed 'Friends In Low Places' on the show. Just look at the suit he was wearing! Would you ever believe that that same guy would become the biggest thing in country music!
