Tim McGraw Is Unbroken, Kenny Chesney Calls It Quits – Today In Country Music History [VIDEO]

Tim McGraw was at number one with Unbroken on this date in 2002, Kenny Chesney and Renee Zellweger called it quits in 2005 and Mindy McReady was doin’ what the guys do in 1996.

  • Mindy McCready scored her first Number One single with “Guys Do It All the Time” in 1996.
  • John Michael Montgomery‘s first single, “Life’s A Dance,” was released in 1992.
  • Garth Brooks‘ fourth album, The Chase, was released in 1992.
  • Kenny Rogers received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1979.
  • Merle Haggard sang “Mama Tried” on Dick Clark‘s American Bandstand in 1968.
