Vernon ISD Superintendent Denies Potential Threat and Hit List

Vernon ISD’s Superintendent has issued a statement responding to rumors of a hit list created by a student.

On Saturday, Superintendent Jeff Byrd posted on the district’s Facebook page that they were aware of the rumors of threats and a hit list from a student, but found there to be no credible threat to students and faculty,

KAUZ reports that they tried to reach out to Vernon Police for more information but was told information would be released on Monday.
