A Wichita Falls man started 2016 behind bars after being spotted by the Wichita Falls Police Department during a tavern check. Around 1am on January 2nd, police were doing a tavern check in a bar in the 300 block of North Scott. They spotted Charles Leon Williams and, knowing he had outstanding warrants, took him into custody without indecent.

According to the WFPD, a search of WIlliams after the arrest led to even more charges. On his person, police found a fully loaded 9 mm pistol, approximately .090 ounces of Marijuana, 7 grams of Methamphetamine and $400 in cash.

Besides just the charges for the outstanding warrants, Williams also ended up being charged with Manufacturing/Delivery on a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Possession of Marijuana under 2 ounces and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
