Wichita Falls Police Investigating Death Near Downtown [UPDATED]

Wichita Falls Police have identified the deceased individual found on 8th Street earlier today. Police say the body is that of 61-year-old Catherine Prine of Wichita Falls.

Detectives say there were no obvious signs of foul play. The woman's body will be sent to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner for autopsy.

Wichita Falls Police are investigating a dead body found at a home in the 1700 block of 8th Street this morning. Police were called to scene to do a welfare check and discovered the body outside a home.

So far, police have not offered further details. Additional information will be released later today.
