When you're kicking off your 105th season of entertaining Wichita Falls where do you start? How about a cast of 8 - 12 year old kids performing Disney's classic Mulan Jr.? That's exactly what the Wichita Theatre is doing and opening day is this Saturday, January 12th.

Kyle Coker is the director and chief cat herder for the show and brought a couple of the young performers up to visit the other day to tell us about the show.

While in our studios Kyle's daughter Kyra (Mulan) and Alex Duke (Yao) explain the general storyline of the show and what they like best about being onstage.

Generally speaking, the Huns have invaded and it's up to Mulan and her mischievous friends to save the Emperor. The score includes favorites like "Reflection," "Honor To Us All" and "I'll Make A Man Out Of You."

The show will run weekends through January 26th and all tickets are just $6.00. Disney's Mulan Jr. is a great way to introduce your children to the world of live theatre, and should be a lot of fun to watch, even though Kyle says he's not letting his hair grow out long enough to pull until the show's over.

Visit the Wichita Theatre's website for showtimes and reservations.
