  • Willie Nelson rescued his guitar Trigger, as well as a bag of marijuana stashed inside the case, when his Ridgetop, Tennessee home burned in 1969.
  • Epic Records released Tammy Wynette’s “Stand By Your Man” in 1968.
  • Jack Greene was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry by his old boss, Ernest Tubb in 1967.
  • Lefty Frizzell hit Number One with “If You’ve Got the Money, I’ve Got the Time” in 1950.
