Remember a while back when an old bridge near Graham, Texas, got some attention for being used in a Netflix movie? Well, the movie is called The Highwaymen and it will be released later this month.

Directed by John Lee Hancock, the movie is about two Texas Rangers played by Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson. The Rangers come out of retirement to track down the infamous Bonnie and Clyde. This all took place in 1934, the age of gangsters and sub-machine guns.

While most of the filming was done in Louisiana some of the scenes took place here in North Texas. That's probably because Hancock is actually from this area, growing up on a ranch outside of Archer City. The North Texas scenes were shot on the old U.S. 380 bridge over the Brazos River, just Southwest of Newcastle.

The Highwaymen premiers on Netflix on Friday, March 29th.

Scenic bridges and historic downtown squares aren't the only things Graham, Texas, has to offer, the city is also home to one of the few remaining Drive-In Movie Theaters left in the country and they just had their opening weekend for the 2019 season. This all sounds like a good reason to get in the car and head out on a road trip soon.
