With all of the bad publicity Sugarland has been getting lately about the collapse of the stage in Indiana, it's really nice to see something cool about them. Like when they invited 11 year old Alana Springsteen on stage with them the other night.

The special guest appearance took place at their show in Virginia Beach last week. Alana Springsteen joined Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles to perform "Baby Girl." Alana is a singer and songwriter who caught the attention of Kristian. He has been working with Alana to help her get a record deal.

The Boot reports that Alana has even written a song with Kristian and his brother, Brandon.

Speaking of duets, Jennifer Nettles will appear as a celebrity coach on the upcoming ABC show, Duets. Other coaches include Kelly Clarkson, Robin Thicke and John Legend, and they seek out untapped talent to duet with them before a live audience. The winner will land a deal with Hollywood Records.

Sugarland takes a short break from their In the Hands of the Fans tour for the next couple weeks. They will resume the trek on May 22nd in Los Angeles.
