The Wichita Falls Fire Department has released some impressive aerial video footage of the fire that destroyed a portion of the Ashely Furniture Home Store on Kell blvd Sunday morning (3/13).
The WFFD captured the footage using a new piece of equipment they are calling the "Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)."
The fire started around 6:15 am Sunday morning and it took Wichita Falls and Sheppard AFB firefighters about one hour to extinguish the three-alarm blaze.
An investigation found that the fire was caused by an electrical fault in the tower of the building. Birds may have played a role as well. Damage to the building is estimated to be somewhere around $300,000
Ashley Furniture Home Store is scheduled to be back open for business this Friday.
