In the footage, the car moves steadily along with other traffic, its driver seemingly unfazed by the precarious situation. Whether they were unaware or simply choosing to ignore the issue remains unclear.

How to Determine the Fate of Loose Parts

Instances like this aren’t uncommon on Texas roads, where long drives and unpredictable conditions can lead to all manner of makeshift vehicle repairs. While some drivers opt for quick fixes such as zip ties and duct tape being favored tools of the trade, others take a more laid-back approach, allowing time (and wind resistance) to determine the fate of loose parts.
