Look for the bloodmobile

A bloodmobile will be parked at the site, and participants can look forward to a range of perks. In addition to a free glow-in-the-dark t-shirt playfully labeled "Peoplejuice," donors will be entered into a drawing for a Carlson-branded cooler bag.

Make an appointment or walk-in

"Giving blood is crucial, and we're hoping the Halloween spirit encourages people to come out and donate," says Roger Jenkins, the event organizer. Those interested in scheduling an appointment can contact him at 940-285-6333, though walk-ins are welcome.

Take home some swag

With swag, prizes, and a meaningful cause, the blood drive offers the community a unique way to give back this Halloween.

Here are three key statistics about blood donation:

Every two seconds: Someone in the U.S. needs blood, highlighting the constant demand for donations.

One pint can save up to three lives: A single pint of donated blood can be separated into components (red cells, plasma, and platelets) that can help multiple patients.

Only 37% of the U.S. population is eligible to donate blood, yet less than 10% actually do so annually.
