On the inaugural date of her Storyteller Tour, Carrie Underwood and her tourmates Easton Corbin and the Swon Brothers treated the audience to a cover that brought them back a few years: the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s “Fishin’ in the Dark.”

Underwood started off the 1987 back porch singalong alone, but soon introduced Corbin, bringing him up with her. Corbin sang the second verse and chorus with Underwood on harmonies, both working the four-sided stage and interacting with fans. But it wasn’t over yet — Underwood called for backup one more time and the Swon Brothers stepped on stage for the last section of the tune. Soon the artists formed a quartet, blending harmonies and clearly enjoying singing the classic anthem together as the audience sang along. It was clear the performance was the first show, as there were a few endearing flubs from the artists, but that just made the cover all the more enjoyable.

Underwood weaved more than one cover into her set of 22 songs in Jacksonville, Fl. — she also included a stunning rendition of Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You," which can be viewed below.

The Storyteller Tour is Underwood’s first since the birth of her son last year, and it’s clear she hasn’t lost any momentum. The star makes tour life work for her, bringing with her a mobile gym and of course little Isaiah, who took his first steps in Jacksonville the day of her first show. The international tour continues through the end of May 2016.
