UPDATE: Chemical Spill Forces Detour

Barbara Seal, Public Information Director for TxDOT’s Abilene/Childress District Office, tells News Talk 1290 that both north and south bound lanes of US 287 between Childress and Memphis, Texas have been re-opened.  Early Monday morning the highway had to be closed due to a chemical spill caused by an overturned truck between Childress and Memphis, Texas.
