The most famous cheerleaders in the world just got a massive pay raise. We're talking a 400% increase in what they earn, and a lot of that has to do with how popular their Netflix show America’s Sweethearts has become.

Before the raise, these cheerleaders were only making about $250 per game. That may sound like a lot for dancing at a football game, but when you consider all the hours they spend rehearsing, training, and traveling, it really wasn’t much. And for rehearsals, they were only getting paid $15 an hour, which is barely above minimum wage in many places. Now, thanks to the new deal, they’ll earn $625 per game and $200 for each rehearsal. That’s a huge step up, and many people see it as long overdue.
