
Intoxicated Dallas Woman Assaulted by Lyft Driver
I swear I would never use a ride-share service if I were a woman by myself because of this exact situation right here.
A woman in Dallas went through a really scary situation after using Lyft to get home. According to reports, the driver dropped her off but didn’t just leave. Instead, he groped her multiple times and looked like he was trying to follow her into her home. The woman had been drinking and wasn’t in a condition to fully protect herself.

Thankfully, a neighbor saw what was happening and stepped in before things got worse.
Now, a lot of people are asking the same question: why can’t passengers, especially women, choose to only ride with a female driver on apps like Lyft or Uber?

Some people think this kind of safety option is long overdue. They say that women who are alone or under the influence should have the choice to avoid male drivers, especially since situations like this aren’t as rare as you might think. While rideshare apps have safety tools like GPS tracking and an emergency button, those features don’t always stop bad things from happening. They really just help afterward.
