Check Out This Beautiful But Destructive Tornado Near Arnett, Texas
We are all getting a little tired of these tornadoes here in Texas. It seems like we have been under a warning or a watch every week this Spring. These things are terrifying if you happen to be in there path, but man do they make for fascinating videos.
Shocking Tornado Spins Through Arnett, Texas
The footage of the supercell below was taken in a small unincorporated community in Central Texas called Arnett. A supercell is a type of storm that spins, and when the conditions are just right, it can drop a tornado. That’s exactly what happened here. The tornado looked almost artistic. I compare its shape to a spinning top or a stack of plates.

But while it looked incredible from a distance, the tornado did real damage. It tore through open land, knocking down barns, tossing debris, and breaking power lines. Luckily, no one was killed, but some homes and roads were seriously affected. Emergency workers had to step in to help clear the wreckage and restore power.
