Where to Drop Off Natural Christmas Trees in Wichita Falls
Hey, Wichita Falls! If you’ve got a real Christmas tree and need to get rid of it, the city has free drop-off spots for it.
But first, you must remove all the decorations, lights, and the tree stand. Don’t leave anything behind. Once it’s ready, you can take it to one of these places:
- Lucy Park: Head to Sunset Lane off Seymour Highway.
- Kiwanis Park: Located at 4400 Southwest Parkway.
- Transfer Station: Find it at 3200 Lawrence Road.
- City Landfill: This one’s at 10984 Wiley Road.
These locations will accept natural Christmas trees until Sunday, January 19, 2025. Keep in mind, fake trees are a no-go.
Here’s the cool part: the city will turn all those trees into mulch, which gets used in parks around town. So, you’re helping the environment and your community.
One last thing. Don’t just leave your tree by the curb. The city won’t pick it up with your regular trash. If you’re unsure what to do or have questions, call the Sanitation Department at (940) 761-7977 or the Parks Department at (940) 761-7491.
So, if you’re done with your tree, drop it off and do your part to keep Wichita Falls clean and green.
