Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton took the 2019 CMA Awards audience off the deep end with their performance. Together, the two gave fans their collaboration "Dive Bar" live from the Bridgestone Arena stage on Wednesday night (Nov. 13).

Brooks and Shelton are two names country fans would probably like to see stand side-by-side more often. The megastars most definitely gave Music City the "Dive Bar" experience while they were just "buzzing where the neon glows" center-stage during Country Music's Biggest Night.

"Dive Bar" came out of another awards show performance. Brooks was inspired to ask Shelton — a fellow Oklahoma native — to sing the song with him after seeing Shelton perform at the 2019 ACM Awards in April.

These Are the Top 5 Moments from the 2019 CMA Awards:

Brooks co-wrote "Dive Bar" alongside his good friend and collaborator Mitch Rossell and Bryan Kennedy. It was released to country radio this past summer and has since become an anthemic country duet.

Brooks is currently working two tours at once: His Stadium Tour features him performing in some of the largest venues in the U.S., while his Dive Bar Tour finds him performing in the kinds of smaller venues where he launched his career. Shelton, meanwhile, is continuing his role as a coach on the TV singing competition The Voice, and gearing up for a 2020 tour in between seasons of that show.
