A typical cache is a hidden small container containing a logbook, and once you find it as the geocacher, you sign and date the day found and place it back where you found it. Some caches even have a small prize in them!  When you take something, however, you must also leave something, like a key chain or another small item.

To start Geocaching, all you have to do is go to geocaching.com and set up your very own free account. The only other thing to do is download the official Geocaching® App or GPS.

I went everywhere from a park, to a lot behind a business, and even a weeping willow tree just outside the city and found them all. I was skeptical at first but it actually works and it is a blast. You wouldn't expect something so simple to be so much fun and free!

Geocaching is something both adults and children alike will have fun doing. It's something different and out of the box! Give it a shot and see what treasures you find! Who knows, there might be a hidden cache near you right now!
