It sure seems like there are a lot of holidays the first couple months of the year. You may not have realized it, but today is another one. It's Safer Internet Day. This is a day to promote safer use of the internet and technology.

To help promote Safer Internet Day, Google is offering up 2 GB of Google Drive storage for free. Anyone with a google account (and who doesn't have one of those, seriously?) already gets 15 GB of free storage with your account. There are ways you can get more but you have to pay for that. Now you can increase that 15 to 17 for free.

All you have to do is go to your Google account and update your security settings. Really, that's it. Then they credit you the 2 GB of storage that you can use for files, pictures, or whatever you want to store on the Google Cloud.

So, what are you waiting for. Go update your security, get some free storage, and make the internet a little safer for you on Safer Internet Day.
