The video at the bottom of this article presents footage of candidates for Parents of the Year. Now look, the giraffe doesn't exactly toss the kids, rather it lifts her up a few inches by the hair. Regardless, that child will be having nightmares about this for the rest of her life most likely. I know. From experience.

You should never sit in the wide-open bed of a truck when there are wild animals afoot. I realize you think it's going to be an awesome experience for your little one. One they won't soon forget. You're right, trauma is extremely hard to forget.

Trauma Time

Once, when I was a kid, my parents let me sit on top of the cage where they kept the alligators at Cameron Park Zoo in Waco, Texas. Guess what happened. I fell in. Now, I wasn't ever in any danger, the 'gators were 50 yards away at least, and I was immediately pulled out of the enclosure, but the damage was done. Alligator nightmares for the rest of my childhood.
