The Panthers (12-2) locked in their spot in the final four with an impressive 32-15 win against the Shallowater Mustangs on Friday at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene. Paradise crushed it on offense and defense, piling up more than 400 yards while holding Shallowater to 142.

The Play

Not long after getting the ball back, Paradise’s quarterback, Ayden Winters, pulled off an epic play.

He dodged a sack, took off running, and then threw a 43-yard bomb to the end zone, where Layne Smith made the catch.

I don't know if I've ever seen a catch where a second receiver was right there to grab the ball as well. Number 11 just kind of shrugs his shoulder in disbelief, I'm sure he thought that ball was his! Oh well, that is a great problem to have.

Paradise is set to take on the defending state champs, Malakoff, in the state semifinals. The game kicks off at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco. Malakoff will be the home team for this big matchup.
