Cracker Barrel's "Five Decades, One Voice" initiative, which pairs veteran women in country music with their younger counterparts, teamed Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott with up-and-coming talent Bailey Bryan for a series of in-depth chats and studio recordings, including a riveting cover of Dolly Parton's "9 to 5."

The cover arrives shortly before Parton's first Hollywood film -- and its iconic theme song -- celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2020.

"It's so far ahead of its time: the movie and the song," Scott tells Billboard. "The plight of being a woman in business and feeling that we have the same voice and our voice is as loud [as a man's], and all those things that she says so eloquently."

"Five Decades, One Voice" encourages further solidarity between women in country music at a time when their struggles to be heard on commercial radio grab headlines. For Bryan, an unfair system drives her even harder to record songs that stand out from the pack.

"It would be easy to get bitter, but I think a lot of us are just like, 'I'm going to make something undeniable and great and different,'' Bryan adds. "I might as well make something that I'm super proud of and encourage all the other women around me to do the same thing. And, if we're all doing that, then eventually, they're just going to have to get on board."

The series of team-ups is part of Cracker Barrel's celebration of its 50th anniversary. Previously, the series featured a collaboration between Ingrid Andress and the women of Little Big Town, as well a performance from Brandi Carlile, Tenille Townes and Tanya Tucker.
