It’s National Corn Dog Day – Here’s How to Make Them at Home

It's said that every dog has its day, and today, March 16th, is National Corn Dog Day!

The kids are home for spring break, when better to feed them this delicious concoction of hot dog and bun all rolled into one tasty treat.

The corn dog started out as a sausage or hot dog baked or deep fried in a corn meal breading, then someone got the brilliant idea to put it on a stick and serve it at fairs in the '30s or '40s.

They're still one of the most popular food items at fairs and sporting events today, nearly 100 years later.
