Driver Hits Multiple People on Dallas Freeway

A tragic scene unfolded on the freeway in Dallas this morning.
WFAA reports Interstate 635 in Dallas was shut down this morning after a driver who was involved in an accident started fighting another person involved in the crash. The suspect then stabbed a driver who tried to intervene.
A Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) employee witnessed the incident and pulled over to help. The suspect then jumped into the TxDOT vehicle, hit the employee, and then crashed.
Another driver stopped and exited their vehicle to help the TxDOT employee. The suspect then jumped into that person’s vehicle and hit the driver.
The suspect then exited the vehicle and was wrestled to the ground and detained by several bystanders until police arrived.
Three people were transported to the hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue crews. The driver who was stabbed by the suspect is currently in critical condition. The other two victims are in stable condition.
The suspect’s name has not yet been released by authorities.
